Dear Friends,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to continue to represent you at the state capitol as your Senator. The first term was very rewarding and I look forward to representing the people of the 20th district for the next two years.
This term will be a challenging one as we tackle the issues of improved health care access, addressing the energy crisis here in the state, working to better educate our children, improve our transportation network and improve the economy here in Connecticut. I anticipate we will discuss and hopefully take action on reducing property taxes as well. All of these issues are complicated and we will need to focus on them so we can make meaningful reforms.
I have been appointed to a new leadership position of Deputy Majority Leader and will continue to serve as the Senate Chair of the Public Safety and Security Committee as well as serving on the Finance Revenue and Bonding Committee and the Public Health Committee and Regulations and Review Committee.
